The liminal blink
Outdoor Beach Cinema / Video Installation
This moving-image work draws on the Kuroshio Current, wind, starlight, and shifting sense of time experienced on a voyage aboard the sailing vessel Coral Ark. Memories of the journey are projected onto a large coral rock face at Sugira Beach.
Watch with the sea and night sky as a backdrop, surrounded by waves and sea breezes. Images on the rock face merge with the landscape before you in an outdoor beach cinema that evokes a sea voyage and the passage of time on the island.
